The policeman, Abbas Haladu was said to have met the soldiers who barricaded the entrance leading to the Emir's palace near the Roundabout at about 7am when they descended on him, beating him mercilessly.
No major reason has been given for the attack yet as investigations are been carried out as regards the issue.
