During the week,  Malaysian based Briton, Harvey who happens to be legally married to Goldie and also, an administrator on Goldie's official facebook page, warned Prezzo never to bother to attend Goldie's funeral rites. He accused the Kenyan rapper of causing a lot of pain to the family.

23-Year-Old Woman Arrested For Having Séx With Dog In Front Of Neighbours

A 23-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday for allegedly having séx with a pit bull in the notoriously sinful city.

According to a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police report, local authorities were responding to a call when they encountered the woman, Kara Vandereyk, having séx with the pit bull in her backyard "in full view of the neighbors."

The Las Vegas Review Journal, citing the same police report, said the woman told police she was bipolar and was unable to remember her name.

The station writes that "Vandereyk was nakéd and on the ground when officers arrived." She was given a blanket to cover herself and brought to the Clark County Jail.

Police Arrest Ghanaian Footballer, John Pantsil, For Stabbing Wife In The Eye

Black Stars defender John Paintsil has been arrested by police for stabbing his wife.

This was confirmed by Greater Accra Police PRO Freeman Tettey in an interview with Joy News a while ago.

It is not clear the cause of the misunderstanding. Police describe the incident as domestic quarrel.

A freelance journalist Haruna Maiga who was at the Legon Police where John Paintsil is being held said the deputy Black Stars skipper was brought together with his three kids.

They were escorted by a group of police men, one armed.

Freeman Tetteh said Paintsil is being held for assault and causing harm.

The wife, Richlove Paintsil is reported to have jumped the Trasacco wall to her neighbour, ostensibly to escape the assault of the husband but Paintsil is alleged to have followed into the neighbour's house and handed a few slaps to the man holding the wife.

The wife is said to be unconscious after sustaining serious injuries to her eye.

She is said to be responding to treatment at the hospital.

Paintsil was part of the Black Stars team that came fourth in the just ended 2013 Nations Cup.

22 Year-Old LASPOTECH Student Allegedly Beaten to Death by Boyfriend.

There has been a disturbing increase in reported cases of domestic violence leading to death, especially among unmarried couples. A recent one which resulted in the alleged murder of an undergraduate student of Lagos State Polytechnic is one that is particularly worrisome. The victim, only 22, had her whole life ahead of her but it was cut short after a fight she had with her boyfriend which led to her untimely death.

A part-time Business Administration Student of Lagos State Polytechnic, Miss Olayinde Bournes, 22, has allegedly been beaten to death by her boyfriend, Abuchi Cyril. The incident happened Thursday at Shorinmade Street, Aguda-Ogba area of Lagos State, southwest Nigeria.

According to Miss Titilayo Fagbamila, friend of the deceased girl, she always complained to her that her boyfriend, Abuchi always beat her at the slightest provocation.

She said that on Thursday when the tragedy occurred, Abuchi invited Olayinde to his house along Shorinmade Street, to see his travel documents.

Titilayo said nobody knew what happened when the lovers were together but it is believed that they had a misunderstanding which may have led to a fight. Sources at 17, Muibi Street residence of the deceased told reporters that after the fight with her boyfriend, the victim was rushed to G&S Hospital where she was confirmed dead before the corpse was taken to Ikeja General Hospital for autopsy.

Abuchi was immediately arrested and taken to Area 'G' Police Command, Ogba, for interrogation. When our correspondent visited Area 'G', Ogba, Friday morning, the suspect was seen writing his statement. When contacted for comment, the Area 'G' Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ishola Abdulahi, declined to speak on the issue, saying it was too early as investigation was going on.

Speaking with reporters, the 55-year old father of Olayinde, Mr. Akindele Bournes, said his daughter was not a troublesome person, adding that the government must ensure that justice is done.

According to the testimony of the friend of the deceased, the boyfriend "always beat her at the slightest provocation". This implies that this was not the first time she was maltreated by the accused.

When he was found, he could not sit or stand, but only squat and jump. He neither smiled nor talked, but made jungle noises, which quickly got him a new name — Monkey Boy.

In the beginning, it was a struggle to take him through the bathroom procedure, but now it is his favourite activity. Though he cannot dress himself, he voluntarily lifts his legs in turn to wear trousers and stretches out his hands for the shirt.

He does not know where to keep his clothes, though.

Nigerian Singer Paul Play Dairo Sues MTN For N500 Million Over Project Fame

In what may very well be the first major copyright infringement lawsuit in modern time in Nigeria, pop singer Paul play Dairo has gone to court for redress over the unlawful use of hit song "Angel of My Life" on MTN sponsored Project Fame.

We gathered that Paul, through his lawyer, Festus Keyamo, is slamming a N500 million suit on telecoms giant MTN and Ultima Studios, the producer of the music talent hunt show, Project Fame.



According to the singer, he was out of the country and in the United States last year when the song was used without proper licensing. His Intellectual Property manager, Ayo Rotimi was also said not to have been contacted by the show producers before the song was used and broadcast.

Paul's management, we learnt contacted the two organisations and their responses were "cold and uncooperative". This makes them to contact Festus Keyamo Chambers who has filed a lawsuit against both organisations, and they are said to be determined to see the case to its logical conclusion.

The representatives of both MTN and Ultima Studios could not be contacted as at press time.

"It is very sad to notice that even international companies in the calibre of MTN who have benefited enormously in the Nigerian economy is found wanting in unlawful exploitation of intellectual property. This is inappropriate and should be addressed," a concerned industry analyst said

According to NET, Banky W who acts as Chairman of EME (the label is co-owned by Segun Demuren) learnt of Wizkid after talent manager Osagie Osanrenkhoe introduced them (along with upcoming rapper Skales) in 2009. The two were subsequently signed to the label and that started a journey they all probably didn't envisage would lead them to millions of Naira, mouth-watering endorsement deals, tours in the US and UK, property acquisition and of course controversy.

Banky and EME practically threw Wizzy in our faces – on radio, TV, magazine covers, Banky's 'The W Experience' album and with the potency of his hit singles like 'Holla at ur boy', 'Don't dull' 'Tease me' and a debut album 'Superstar', his name spread like wild fire, selling out concerts, winning international awards and scoring collaborations with top US artistes.

Wizkid soon became a household name, recording success and adding fame to his portfolio…thus his brand began growing 'geometrically', to a state where it tested the solidity of his label.

Goldies' autopsy result released!!!

The Department of Pathology and Forensic Medicine of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, in an autopsy on late Nigerian pop star, Goldie Harvey, revealed that the musician died of 'hypertensive heart
disease' which triggered "intracerebellar haemorrhage".
The autopsy, done on February 19, was signed by Dr. O.O Oyewole of (see above).
According to Wikipedia, intracerebral hemorrhage, ICH is a subtype of intracranial hemorrhage that occurs within the brain tissue itself. Intracerebral hemorrhage can be caused by brain trauma, Non traumatic intracerebral hemorrhage is a spontaneous bleeding into the brain tissue.

Symptoms include a rise in intracranial pressure which causes a severe headache followed by vomiting. Some patients may go into coma shortly after the symptoms arise.

It would be recalled that a statement from Kennis Music boss Mr Kenny Ogungbe clearly stated that Goldie complained of a severe headache shortly after arriving the country from the US where she went to see the Grammys.

One-year-old Baby Bites Snake To Death

An encounter between a snake and a baby ended in a surprising outcome Thursday, when the infant's mother walked into his room to find him chewing on the dead reptile.

The infant, Imad Gadir, whose family resides in Shfaram, was not hurt when he bit the unlucky coin snake, but was taken to Haifa's Ramabam Medical Center, just in case.

According to Imad's grandfather, Shaheen Shaheen, who recalled the family's tumultuous morning, the boy woke up when his father left for work at 6:30 am. The 1-year-old left his parents' bed and headed to his room, where he found the 35-centimeter (13-inch) snake. He then grabbed it and bit its head off.

"It wasn't a pretty sight," Shaheen said. "He's a baby, he didn't know what he was doing. He thought it was a game. I don't wish this kind of thing on anyone."

When Imad's mother realized what had happened she began screaming, until a neighbor jumped the house's fence, entered the room and snatched the snake out of the boy's hand.

"I went to the kitchen to get him some milk, and when I came back I saw he was already eating," the mother, Alain, said. "I screamed until the neighbors came. I still can't believe what I saw."

Veteran snake-catcher Eli Cohen said he has never come across a case of this kind.

"I guess the kid acted out of a childish instinct when he put the snake in his mouth," he said. "Luckily for him, the coin snake isn't poisonous, otherwise it could have ended in a tragedy."

Eli Cohen, the owner of a pest control company, estimated that the snake was three years old, and said that his bite often hurts but is not dangerous to anyone who isn't allergic to it. He said that this type of reptile chokes his prey. "If it was a bigger snake, the boy could have been strangled."

Gunman kills lover, 7 family members in Lagos

It was a bloody weekend at Igando area of Lagos State, when a suspected kidnapper said to be operating in Delta State, attacked the Lagos home of his girlfriend, killing her and seven others. It was gathered that the alleged kidnapper, identified simply as Henry, who is currently on the run, stormed the home of his girlfriend known as Sandra, around 10 p.m on Saturday, with an Ak-47 rifle and opened fire on all the occupants of the apartment, leaving Sandra, her elder sister, with two of her elder sister’s children dead.
Sandra’s twin sister and one of her elder sister’s daughter, however, survived.
Henry was also said to have proceeded to the home of another of Sandra’s elder sisters, living in the area, where he reportedly killed the woman and her three children.
The news of the killing quickly threw the area into disarray, as residents hurriedly shut their doors to avoid being hit by the rampaging kidnapper.
Policemen from all formations in the state were said to have raced down to Igando in search of the kidnapper who they said drove in a Sport Utility Van, SUV, to the scene.
Sources told reporters that an occupant of the building where Sandra was killed, reported at the Igando Police Station that robbers were operating in their building.
But when the police got to  the scene, the gunman had left, but they discovered the lifeless bodies of Sandra, her elder sister and her children, while Sandra’s twin sister who sustained  bullet wound told the police who their attacker was.
According to a source, who pleaded anonymity: “Sandra’s twin sister told us that the attacker was her late twin sister’s boyfriend who is familiar with everyone in their family but nobody knew he was a kidnapper.
“She told us that her late sister used to visit the boyfriend, Henry, at his base in Delta State and in one of such visits two weeks ago, some heavily armed men stormed Henry’s apartment manhandling Sandra in the process.
She added that the armed men reportedly told Sandra that her lover absconded with their share of the ransom paid to them for one of their  kidnapping exploits, threatening to wipe out all his (Henry’s) family members if he did not pay them their money.
Thereafter, Sandra contacted her family members in Lagos, informing them of what had happened to her and they rushed to Delta State and brought her to Lagos for proper treatments. But while she was receiving the treatment, Henry, feeling betrayed, stormed their Lagos home. She told us that the moment Henry entered their apartment, her sister’s children welcomed him without knowing that he was out to kill them.
